It was the first time I’d seen this design in the sand hills before even though I had been going here since [...] Took a road trip to Kinosaki with the wife for our 1st year anniversary, it’s a beautiful little onsen (hot spring) in Hyogo prefecture. We stayed in a Ryokan (traditional Japanese hotel) with it’s own private onsen, free tickets to other bigger onsens and dinner/breakfast included. Not bad for $300 AUD for two people. [...] Cleland National Park is located in Crafers in the Adelaide Hills near the Mt Lofty Summit and houses many native Australian animals. I went there with my mum, dad and brother on a family day trip the day before I went back to Japan. I decided to take the FA 28-105 lens because [...] After a hardy meal and a few beers at the Grange pub, I walked to beach and took a few photos with the FA 28-105. It was very windy and a little rainy and sand was blowing around so the harder elements were new for me to shoot in. I like the resulting harshness [...] Here’s some shots taken from Hummock Hill in Whyalla, there’s some interesting views of One Steel, the foreshore and and the old WW2 bunkers. I used the FA 28-105 which was good for long distance wide angle and the M-50 1.7 for in the bunker (low light) and better use of DOF.
