Spotmatic SP + S-M-C Takumar 28mm + Fuji Across 100 = multi exposure madness. [...] As I said in my last post, I’ve been re-scanning some film and came across these photos, taken with a Minolta 303si and Kodak SG400 film back in 2006. Here’s the full set on flickr. I’m not sure what it is about this camera but it I really like the quality and feel of [...] Since I’ve been on a film fix lately I dug out my old Holga negatives and did a few re-scans for better digital archiving purposes. Maybe some of you don’t know what Holga cameras are so a little schooling is in order, they are made in China and were first developed there in [...]

There’s A Beam On My Smoke [...] Fujifilm Neopan Acros 100 + Spotmatic SP camera with S-M-C Takumar 28mm 1:3.5 lens all shot at f/8. I’m not sure what happened here, obviously something wrong with the Spotmatic but I really dig the results nonetheless. There’s about 2~4 exposures on each frame although the frames aren’t distinguishable. These photos were taken [...] In the new year I finally got a battery for my Asahi Spotmatic SP camera that had been hibernating for over two years. Loaded with the Super Takumar 35mm 3.5 and Fujifilm Neopan 400, I took my first roll of film since my Holga days and it felt good. I must admit [...] When I first bought my Takumar lenses to use with my Pentax K10D, the package I bought through Yahoo Auctions Japan included a Super Multi Coated Takumar 28mm 3.5, Super Takumar 55mm 1.8 and a Super Takumar 135mm 3.5 as well as two Asahi Spotmatic SP cameras. For two years I’ve been [...] After playing around with the Holga for a few months I realized how much fun photography is. It’s the present and past in an instant, we can view a fraction of a second for as long as we like. Though the Holga was a lot of fun, it is somewhat basic (for learning about [...] It was back in July or August ’06 that I first got re-interested in photography when I purchased a Holga 120 CFN through a shop that sells lomographic gear imported by Superheadz in Japan. All these stores have a corner with all this cool lomo stuff and I just felt like spending some money. [...] |
